If you are searching for GE refrigerator shelf support WR2X7973, the normal replacement-parts market is unusually thin.

What we found

As of August 25, 2026, Parts Dr lists WR2X7973 as discontinued by GE, says it cannot obtain the part from suppliers, and says it knows of no substitute. Sears PartsDirect likewise reports that the manufacturer no longer makes the shelf support and that there is no substitute. iFixit lists a new genuine GE WR2X7973 at $5.99 but currently shows it out of stock.

Before paying too much for used stock

Check your refrigerator model number first. WR2X7973 appears across a broad set of older GE and Hotpoint top-mount refrigerators, but a shelf support that looks similar is not automatically interchangeable. Search the exact model and part number, check remaining new-old-stock and used listings, and avoid assuming another support will fit just because its shape is close.
